For both 2017 and 2018, it has been the privilege of the Vignette and its team of storytellers to travel around the globe highlighting the leading peacebuilders who work with Search for Common Ground, an international NGO that works with communities around the world to build sustainable peace.

- Mudenge hosts a football game between Rwandan and Congolese youth on September 24th, 2017 near his home in Rwerere, Rwanda. Speakers take turns giving testimony about the genocide before the match. Boniface Mudenge is a mediator and peace-builder. As Founder of Inyenyeri Itazima Association, Boniface survived the 1994 Genocide in Rwanda, and over the following two decades he risked his life to advocate for peace and justice among Hutus and Tutsis.
- Sylvie Mutwambaka Mirindi and the Mamans Sensibilisateurs have their weekly meeting at a members house on September 28th, 2017 in Walungu in South Kivu- Democratic Republic of Congo. Sylvie Mutwambaka Mirindi is the Founder of Mamans Sensibilisateurs, a committee made up of women who, like Sylvie, are married to members of the Forces Armées de la République Démocratique du Congo (FARDC). These women both witness and face violence in their homes and community. Among other programs, Sylvie and the Mamans Sensibilisateurs launched programs that have dramatically reduced violence in their homes and communities, as well as a co-counseling system for married couples to discuss their problems constructively without violence.
